Sneak Peek Sunday!

It's Sunday, again, and I'm sharing a little from my fun contemporary 'corporate sabotage' mystery - TAKE ME NOW. My task is to post exactly 6 paragraphs, so...here they are

Please make sure to hop back to the Sneak Peek Sunday site and enjoy a whole lot more.

Aela has come to Nairn's Scottish island castle to interview for a job as a 'jenny all' -  chaffeur and office assistant extraordinaire. She will be driving not only his cars, but piloting his floatplane and flying his jet. She really wants the temporary job for a few weeks, but the boss is not what she expected when she is ferried to the island of Lanera.

She couldn’t prevent her grin—the look on his face was incredible: a mixture of satisfaction, drunkenness and…lust?

The jolt of his head slamming forward came as quite a surprise, since she hadn’t thought he had the energy to manage it. It was even more of a surprise when his lips collided with hers in a bumbled kiss, his fingers clutching her breast for support. Support? Maybe not, since the squeeze he managed was surprisingly firm—and exhilarating. Her pulse skipped as the pressure of lips, and fingertips altered to a seeking insistence. The kiss deepened as Nairn inhaled a new breath and aroused more passions.

The kiss was no longer bumbled, his tongue winding around hers, sucking out any hesitation she might have had over his vulnerable state. Even half comatose the guy was lethal! She swayed into him, needing to be much closer, till the grunt of sheer agony vibrating against her lips was enough to wipe the pleasure from her face.

Oh, jeez! Yep. She was going to crush him to death if she didn’t rein in her enthusiasm. Pulling her mouth away she gentled him against the chair. Eyes fast shut, and a tight grimace furrowing his cheeks, Nairn made no objection as he moaned.

“Rain check on that one, sir?” As the words popped out Aela knew that should a job offer transpire, another kiss like that could never happen. It had been just a bit too stirring, stirring enough for the tingles to still remain on her lips. But then, again, perhaps they were just caused by the force of the collision? Whatever. She couldn’t let it happen again.

The painkillers had to be strong, though. There was a dramatic change to his breathing, and Nairn’s whole demeanor relaxed. She was wondering how to get him to do her bidding when his brows whipped into a frown.

Blurb:

Nairn Malcolm’s looking for the impossible. He needs a highly skilled, enterprising aide who’ll be at his beck and call 24/7. No ordinary Jane Doe will do. He doesn’t expect the only candidate who drops in at his Scottish castle for an interview to be so competent…or so stunning.
Aela Cameron’s got exactly the right mix of talents to satisfy all Nairn Malcolm’s needs, and more. She loves the jobs he needs done, adores his castle, and finds his frenetic lifestyle energising. But she’s only looking for temporary: not to fall in love with the man.
Can Nairn convince Aela she’s tailor-made for him in every way…and not a passing fancy?
