What does a cover tell you?

My new cover is here! And it's fabulous.
I've had a great week! Not only did I find a wonderful review for Monogamy Twist, I got my new cover for my second contemporary novel from The Wild Rose Press...and I really love it.
Once again Kim Mendoza, cover artist, has made me a fantastic cover.
Have a look and tell me what you think the book is going to be all about.

I tried this on my lovely daughters and they were close...but not perfect. Can you pinpoint it?

  2. Nancy, I'd say a gorgeous charter pilot has to set his troubled plane down on an isolated loch and finds himself charmed by the beautiful, sassy proprietor of an ancient castle turned B&B. How'd I do?

  3. Thanks Calisa and Mac. You got the island bit correct, Mac, but not quite the rest-though they are brilliant suggestions!

  4. Gorgeous cover! Okay, let me think. I see the sassy title, the heroine with her chin jutting out, and the airplane. I'd say she has somewhere she needs to go, maybe to save someone she loves (or perhaps someTHING? cause I see what looks like an old castle in the background) and she's demanding that he take her. I'm assuming they argue about it, given the title, maybe they hate each other, but she eventually gets her way. In the end, they have a very passionate love affair.

  5. Hi Nancy!
Wow - what a pretty book cover. Hmm, what does it tell me? Okay - I see the young lovers on top, and the airplane makes me think it is a long distance romance? Or maybe one of them is from the US and the other lives at the glorious old castle?

I'm dying to see the blurb!!!!

  7. I'm going with a time travel story! A handsome pilot finds himself back in 18th century Scotland where he meets the love of his life. Oh wait, she's wearing pretty contemporary clothing LOL.

  10. I see a private plane and an isolated castle. It's my guess that the beautiful young couple explore more then that old castle. Great cover! Good Luck!

  14. I saw your note about your title on TWRP loop and clicked over. Kim has done two excellent covers for me, and I see she's made another inviting cover for you. I see passion and international travel and with the plane, perhaps a separation or two for the heart to grow fonder? Best wishes with Take me now!

ps my Kim covers are for No Second Chance (which won 2 cover awards) and Muddy Waters
