A bit of exposure
Exposure?
Well, yes, I have been out in the garden during the last three very beautiful Scottish spring days, but that's not quite what I'm talking about.
As well as doing very necessary winter tidy up in my overgrown garden, there's a little bit of exposure today to my soon to be released (3rd August) new contemporary romance, TAKE ME NOW, on a friend's blog today.
Join us at Laurie's non-paranormal thoughts and read a little excerpt never seen before...and there's a chance for you to win a signed print copy of my current release MONOGAMY TWIST! All you need to do is pop in and say hello, leave a comment and it could be yours!

Into the wilds and back to a surprise!
At Braemar on Royal Deeside |
Many tourists who visit Scotland want to sample Royal Deeside and that was the first stop on my recent tour. The day was very fine for March in Scotland-14 degrees centigrade makes us strip off the outer layers and bask in the sun -and that is no joke! Braemar, a little village in Royal Deeside was a favorite of mine as a teenager when I did lots of hillwalking, canoeing and oftimes skiing, when the conditions were favourable. Here's a lovely little nostalgic view from the bridge that is right in the centre of Braemar looking up the river.

After that it was home, I thought to have a wee rest and a quick stab at my 400 hundred or so emails that had been neglected. It wasn't to be, though, since my wonderful daughters, sons-in-law, and sneaky husband had organised a gathering of the clans. Clans being his side and mine! A fabulous time was had by all-since our family know how to party-and I had a very special birthday cake. I was too excited to take a photo of it, and too busy making an impromptu very short speech, but my daughter had arranged for it to be like three stacked books. Any guesses what was the photo on the top layer?
It was my MONOGAMY TWIST front cover. Yipee! It's an exceptionaly tasty chocolate cake, made by a very talented friend of my younger daughter. My thanks go to all for everything related to my birthday.
Now what am I going to do since the laundry of the bedding and towels used by all the stay-over-relatives has been done, the house restored to a sort of tidy state, and all the evidence of a party taken to the recycling centre?
Why...start writing my next novel!
Since it's now Tuesday, 10.45 pm, I'm thinking it WILL BE TOMORROW!

MONOGAMY TWIST
MONOGAMY TWIST? What's it all about? It's a lighthearted book designed to be an easy read with a little bit of history mystery to solve. I wonder if you can work out what's happened by the end of the book? My contemporary twist on a Dickensian bequest has a few little quirky bits ...a lovely old house, and a very big dog!
Siren book Reviews had this to say about it:
Siren book Reviews had this to say about it:
Monogamy Twist is a light-hearted contemporary with a mystery element that will soothe
the reader's soul. This isn't a graphic or violent novel. Instead, this is in
the classic type of romance, and it aims to please. Nancy Jardine
delivers a wonderful book that will have you turning the pages in awe to find
out more. It's beautifully written with great plot, characters, and just the
right amount of descriptions that leaves the readers with plenty to imagine.
If you enjoy a contemporary mystery romance, don't miss this book!
And my hero and heroine? What do they look like? Look in the left sidebar to find out!

FABULOUS ! Great ebook offers
How can you say no?
This week so many ebooks are available on special deals-either totally free or at reduced prices. When a book is 10% reduced that's great. If it is reduced by 25 % that's wow! And if it's free...
Now comes the dilemma. When am going to read them all? My kindle is humming, as is my PDF file. Should I now stop having my book club send me print versions? I love handling books but it's sooo good to be able to pull out my small thin kindle and know there are LOADS of books still to read on it.
What do you think about buying in print these days? I'd love to know!

Going Places
What prompted the idea for TAKE ME NOW? A few years ago a family member had planned a birthday surprise for her nearest and dearest-a seaplane round trip of the Scottish Islands. I thought it was a marvellous idea and jumped on the bandwagon. Instead of one person doing the jaunt, 9 of us (daughters, hubbies etc), hired a seaplane and made it into a long weekend return trip. We overnighted at Oban on the west coast of Scotland, included a chartered boat tour of the nearest islands during the afternoon, and had a fabulous dinner together. The idea of TAKE ME NOW dawned. I've got my cover, blurb, excerpt, and all I need is that release date.
Travel in the book is not confined to the Scottish islands but I'm sharing a few neat little photos from that trip I've just mentioned.
This first one looks like a bit of heavy cloud in the background? - It's not but you'll have to wait and read the book to find out what it REALLY was.
Typical Scottish weather for June it was not all clear blue skies but the views were tremendous. Although I have flown in a small aircraft (15 seater) and had a balloon trip I'd never flown so close to the ground. The advantage of a seaplane trip, for me, was seeing the details below so clearly. No photo of me available, I'm afraid, but viewing from the co-pilots seat was amazing!
